Heavily pruned the peppers
Tonight’s low is supposed to be around 31 degrees Fahrenheit. I decided that this was good enough time as any to begin the winterization process in earnest.
The bootstrap farm’s 5 Inch Nursery Pot did not arrive until 6 PM so I decided tonight that I would focus on just the pruning of the plants and the washing of the containers.

I will get to transplanting on Sunday. Giving the current containers more time to dry out in the spare bedroom. Current readings in there are around 63 degrees Fahrenheit at about 54% relative humidity. It’s a little high in both, but I suspect that the temperature will drop as the days continue to be colder. The room thermostat is set to kick on around 58 degrees Fahrenheit.
I pruned the following:

Clearing out the patio
With the majority of the peppers now inside the patio is beginning to look less cluttered. The only remaining peppers outdoors are banana peppers I do not intend to overwinter. I will need to push back blueberry bushes and strawberry patches closer to the building once winter truly begins.

Surplus of green Thai chiles
I pulled off more green Thai dragon chiles than expected. I will be drying these along with some thyme in the dehydrator.
