Made some garlic honey

I used up all the Silver White Softneck Garlic and some of the hardneck in a honey garlic ferment.

Where the peppers stand

The Sweet Jimmy Nardello plants are really taking off. This one plant has 5 pods alone.

I am excited to see the Aji Charapita plants are also taking off. This one plant has at least 20 green pods.

The new Aji Sugar Rush Peach are also doing well. Similar to the Early Jalapeño Chile Peppers and Shishito Chile Peppers, the new plants pods are much larger than the over wintered plants. Though the overwintered plants have larger quantity.

The Scarlet Emperor Pole Runner Beans are also taking over the trellis near row 4. My hope is as they reach the top they will move south towards the trellises in row 3, 2, and 1.

Other notes

  • The Gherkin Hokus leaves are drying out and turning yellow. I have a feeling they are being overtaken by a virus passed by the cucumber beetles I’ve seen on the plants. Regardless, I intend to replace these with Pickling Cucumber next year. On the other end -
  • The Marketmore plants are going gangbusters. I already pulled 6 cucumbers and already see more coming in.
  • One of the Triumph Zucchini plants hit by the squash bug looks pretty dead. Definitely need to cover next season.
